SusBDe is thrilled to be part of the collaboration between Greater Mumbai and The Netherlands for sustainable urban development! The partnership, signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, focuses on sustainable waste management and explores opportunities in port-led urban development.

Exciting Collaboration for Sustainable Urban Development!

Thrilled to announce that SusBDe is actively participating in the collaboration between Greater Mumbai and The Netherlands to advance sustainable urban development!

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee IAS, Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, and Erwin Nijsse, Director-General Business Development & Innovation on behalf of the Minister for the Environment of The Netherlands, Mrs. Vivianne Heijnen, signed a Joint Declaration witnessed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and ACS Bhushan Gagrani.

This strategic partnership will focus initially on sustainable waste management, emphasizing the creation of value through waste segregation, recycling, upcycling, and waste-to-energy solutions. The collaboration also extends to exploring opportunities in port-led urban development.

A delegation from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, led by Dr. Shrikant Shinde and Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, is currently in the Netherlands, engaging with Dutch authorities and SusBDe  to delve into the details and pave the way for further collaboration towards a better and more sustainable future.

NEWS -Update on the Project Portfolio in the United States

SusBDe’s partner Pelican Biogas is advancing a portfolio of six poultry-waste-to-biogas plants in Arkansas, with SusBDe supporting the technology and process design. Each plant converts ~100,000 tons of waste into 35+ million m³ of biogas annually, applying the same technology platform used in Europe. With first operations expected in 2027, the portfolio illustrates how proven European systems enable large-scale circular energy solutions in the U.S.

Cold Commissioning Successfully Launched at Nagpur’s Landmark CBG Facility

Nagpur’s flagship CBG plant has entered cold commissioning, validating all core systems of a facility capable of treating up to 1,500 tonnes of MSW daily and generating 27 million m³ of renewable biogas each year. With construction complete, the project now moves into operational testing—an essential step toward one of India’s largest biomethane production hubs.
