SusBDe’s partner Pelican Biogas is advancing a portfolio of six poultry-waste-to-biogas plants in Arkansas, with SusBDe supporting the technology and process design. Each plant converts ~100,000 tons of waste into 35+ million m³ of biogas annually, applying the same technology platform used in Europe. With first operations expected in 2027, the portfolio illustrates how proven European systems enable large-scale circular energy solutions in the U.S.

Nagpur’s flagship CBG plant has entered cold commissioning, validating all core systems of a facility capable of treating up to 1,500 tonnes of MSW daily and generating 27 million m³ of renewable biogas each year. With construction complete, the project now moves into operational testing—an essential step toward one of India’s largest biomethane production hubs.

SusBDe joined the Dutch Trade Mission at IFAT India 2025 in Mumbai, presenting its Waste-to-Energy concept and engaging with partners and government leaders on advancing circular solutions in India’s growing sustainability sector.

This week, Jaap Veenenbos and Harshavardhini Varagunan represent SusBDe, it partners at the Dutch biogas sector at IFAT India 2025 in Mumbai. From the Netherlands Pavilion, they are meeting with partners, project developers, and investors to showcase how Dutch technology is driving India’s circular energy transition.

Prof. Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel Prize–winning economist, engaged in in-depth discussions with Bastiaan Dijkman of SusBDe. His perspectives on inequality and climate change resonate strongly with the challenges SusBDe faces: developing profitable, scalable projects that still struggle to secure government and institutional financing. These exchanges underscored both the urgency of action and the need for persistence in building a fairer, more sustainable future.
