Proud to announce that since may 2022 we have established the bases for our first operation in France, with SusBDe France as the holding company for these operations.
An experienced team with different backgrounds and expertise has joined the SusBDe family. All driven to make a difference and a contribution to the green fuel transition and circular economy.
SusBDe France team, headed by Mr. Mike van den Hof as General Director and Executive Directors, Greece born Mrs. Nancy Alexaki and Mr. Anthony Bergavi have all a proved track record in the sustainability world. Whereby Mr. Anthony Bergavi will bring in his experience, especially in the South of France in the Paca-region. The first facility is foreseen to be established in Istres. SusBDe strengthens its Advisory Board with the appointment of Bert Jägel as Chairman. The renewed Advisory Board will play a more active role in supporting the company's international growth, strategic development, and long-term mission in circular waste-to-energy and biomethane infrastructure.

SusBDe attended the 60th anniversary edition of IFAT 2026 in Munich together with representatives from the SusBDe Group of Companies, Keva SusBDe Biotech and SusBDe India B.V. The visit focused on developments in waste segregation, PSA and membrane technologies, biomethane solutions and strengthening relationships with international partners, suppliers and technology providers.

Leadership Update: As of 31 March 2026, Mike van den Hof has stepped down as shareholder and director of SusBDe. Over the past four years, he contributed to the development of the company’s international activities and waste-to-energy platform.

SusBDe expands its presence in Suriname and Guyana through local representation, focusing on scalable Waste-to-Energy solutions that convert agricultural residues into renewable energy and high-quality fertilizers.

SusBDe’s partner Pelican Biogas is advancing a portfolio of six poultry-waste-to-biogas plants in Arkansas, with SusBDe supporting the technology and process design. Each plant converts ~100,000 tons of waste into 35+ million m³ of biogas annually, applying the same technology platform used in Europe. With first operations expected in 2027, the portfolio illustrates how proven European systems enable large-scale circular energy solutions in the U.S.

Nagpur’s flagship CBG plant has entered cold commissioning, validating all core systems of a facility capable of treating up to 1,500 tonnes of MSW daily and generating 27 million m³ of renewable biogas each year. With construction complete, the project now moves into operational testing—an essential step toward one of India’s largest biomethane production hubs.
