Cricket brings people together — across teams, cultures and borders.
SusBDe is proud to support the Sri Lankan team participating in the Embassy Cricket Trophy 2026. The Sri Lankan team is led by Dr. Prasanna Dzhagat Pandita Gunavardana, bringing together players around a shared passion for cricket, teamwork and international connection.
The EmbassyTrophy has grown since its first edition in 2022, when Bangladesh, India, NewZealand and the United Kingdom participated. The tournament was created with a clear ambition: to use cricket as a platform for bringing different nationalities and cultures together.
That ambition has since developed into a well-established international cricketevent. In 2025, ten participating countries and around 150 cricket enthusiasts gathered at Groen Geel in Wassenaar.
SriLanka and SusBDe
For SusBDe, supporting the Sri Lankan team has a special meaning.
Sri Lanka is not simply represented on the cricket shirt. It is also a country in which SusBDe is building long-term relationships and developing sustainable business opportunities. Through SusBDe Biotech Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, the group has established a local platform focused on the development of biogas activities in Sri Lanka. Dr. Prasanna Dzhagat Pandita Gunavardana is also one of the company’s first directors, alongside SusBDe Group CEO Jaap Veenenbos.
The Embassy Cricket Trophy therefore represents something we strongly believe in: international cooperation starts with relationships between people.
In business, sustainability and sport alike, progress depends on trust, teamwork and a shared ambition.
We wish theSri Lankan team every success at the Embassy Cricket Trophy 2026.
Oneteam. Different backgrounds. Shared ambition - SusBDe – Sustainable Business Development

Cricket brings people together — across teams, cultures and borders. SusBDe is proud to support the Sri Lankan team at the Embassy Cricket Trophy 2026, where sport, international cooperation and friendship come together. For SusBDe, the connection with Sri Lanka goes beyond cricket, reflecting our long-term commitment to building sustainable partnerships and developing biogas opportunities in the country.

What began as a vision in 2021 has become one of India's leading municipal waste-to-biomethane projects. The Nagpur project demonstrates how perseverance, international collaboration and innovative technology can transform ambitious ideas into reality. As the project moves towards completion, it not only marks a major milestone for SusBDe and its partners, but also establishes a blueprint for the next generation of circular economy projects across India.

Following recent high-level meetings with key stakeholders in Sri Lanka, SusBDe has taken another important step towards the development of sustainable waste-to-biomethane infrastructure. During a presentation to the Maharagama Urban Council, SusBDe demonstrated how its integrated MSW-to-CBG technology can transform municipal waste into renewable energy while supporting Sri Lanka's circular economy ambitions.

SusBDe has taken an important step in advancing its sustainable waste-to-biomethane initiatives in Sri Lanka through high-level discussions with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Embassy has expressed strong confidence in SusBDe's innovative Dutch technology and will actively support the company's engagement with government authorities and strategic partners to accelerate the development of future renewable energy projects.

SusBDe strengthens its Advisory Board with the appointment of Bert Jägel as Chairman. The renewed Advisory Board will play a more active role in supporting the company's international growth, strategic development, and long-term mission in circular waste-to-energy and biomethane infrastructure.

'TEMPORARY UPDATE: Safety and security of our people in India remain our highest priority. As a precautionary measure, SusBDe has temporarily adjusted selected public team information while continuing all operations and commitments unchanged.

SusBDe attended the 60th anniversary edition of IFAT 2026 in Munich together with representatives from the SusBDe Group of Companies, Keva SusBDe Biotech and SusBDe India B.V. The visit focused on developments in waste segregation, PSA and membrane technologies, biomethane solutions and strengthening relationships with international partners, suppliers and technology providers.
